Virginia High School Football - Poquoson nips Lafayette

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) and the visiting Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA), witnessed Poquoson's football squad edge Lafayette by a tally of 10-7.

The Islanders (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles enter the Bay Rivers contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Jamestown got by Bruton (Williamsburg, VA), 18-12, in a league bout.

The Rams now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Grafton for a Bay Rivers bout on Friday, October 3. Lafayette will encounter a Clippers team coming off a 49-6 league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Clippers record now stands at 1-4.
