Texas High School Football - Port Neches-Groves tops Lake Creek

September 26, 2025: Montgomery, TX 77316

The Port Neches-Groves Indians football squad scored 45 points and limited the host Lake Creek Lions to 21 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Huntsville for a 5A-2 Region II District 8 challenge on Friday, October 3. Port Neches-Groves will face a Hornets team coming off a 38-21 league win over West Fork (Kingwood, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-2.

The Lions (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Montgomery (Montgomery, TX). The Bears go into the 5A-2 Region II District 8 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Montgomery toppled Dayton (Dayton, TX), 52-46, in a league challenge.
