Florida High School Football - Pine Ridge nudges Lake Weir

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Pine Ridge Panthers (Deltona, FL) and the host Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL), witnessed Pine Ridge's football squad edge Lake Weir by a tally of 12-6.

The Panthers (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Deltona (Deltona, FL). The Wolves go into the 4A District 6 match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Deltona was nudged by Rockledge (Rockledge, FL), 42-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Hurricanes confront the Umatilla Bulldogs (Umatilla, FL) in a Sunshine State - Atlantic Coast battle, on Friday, October 3. Lake Weir will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 6-0 record after their 35-20 non-league win over Crystal River (Crystal River, FL).
