Alabama High School Football - Mae Jemison nips Sparkman

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mae Jemison Jaguars (Huntsville, AL) and the host Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL), witnessed Mae Jemison's football squad edge Sparkman by a tally of 34-27.

The Jaguars (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Southside (Gadsden, AL). The Panthers enter the 6A Region 8 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Southside nudged Etowah (Attalla, AL), 21-10, in a non-league bout.

The Senators now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bob Jones for a 7A Region 4 bout on Friday, October 3. Sparkman will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 27-24 non-league loss to Gadsden City (Gadsden, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 4-2.
