    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) and the visiting Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA), witnessed Slidell's football squad knock off Mandeville by a tally of 28-14.

    The Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Tornadoes enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Hammond gained a win over L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA), 49-0, in a non-league bout.

    The Skippers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Northshore for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 2. Mandeville will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 17-10 non-league win over Covington (Covington, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
