    In Friday's non-league game, the Maria Carrillo Pumas (Santa Rosa, CA) football team edged the host Milpitas Trojans (Milpitas, CA), by a tally of 37-31.

    In their next game, the Pumas battle the Analy Tigers (Sebastopol, CA) in a Redwood Empire - Bay outing, on Friday, October 10. Maria Carrillo will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers come into the outing with a 4-1 record after their 48-34 non-league win over Kimball (Tracy, CA).

    With the defeat, Milpitas drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Half Moon Bay (Half Moon Bay, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a Peninsula - Ocean game on Friday, October 10. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 3-1.
