    In Friday's league battle, the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans football team scored a big 56-0 win over the Riverton Hawks.

    With the win, Maroa-Forsyth advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Trojans host Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL) to play the Saukees in a Sangamo battle on Friday, October 3. The Saukees go into the battle with a record of 0-5. Pittsfield lost 27-14 in their recent league battle against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL)

    The Hawks now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Plains for a Sangamo battle on Friday, October 3. Riverton will play a Cardinals team coming off a 44-8 league loss to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview (Petersburg, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-3.
