In Friday's non-league game, the McKenzie Tigers (McKenzie, AL) football team triumphed over the visiting Shields Panthers (Beatrice, AL), by a tally of 50-6.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Pleasant Home Eagles (Andalusia, AL) in a 1A Region 2 game, on Friday, October 3. McKenzie will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 32-14 league win over Red Level (Red Level, AL).
