    • West Virginia High School Football - Midland Trail triumphant over Summers County

    September 26, 2025: Hinton, WV 25951

    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) and the host Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), witnessed Midland Trail's football squad wallop Summers County by a count of 41-0.

    The Patriots (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Nicholas County crushed Lincoln (Shinnston, WV), 63-48, in a non-league contest.

    Next up, the Bobcats encounter the East Hardy Cougars (Baker, WV) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 3. Summers County will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 46-19 non-league win over Southern (Oakland, MD).
