    The Monterey Trail Mustangs football squad scored 62 points and limited the host Sheldon Huskies to 0 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

    The Mustangs now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pleasant Grove for a Delta League test on Friday, October 3. Monterey Trail will face a Eagles team coming off a 64-0 league win over Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.

    The Huskies (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Elk Grove, CA). The Wildcats go into the Delta League challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Franklin was ripped by Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA), 33-19, in a league challenge.
