The Munford Lions football team (Munford, AL), was trounced 49-0 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Westbrook Christian Warriors (Rainbow City, AL)

The Warriors (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL). The Indians enter the 3A Region 6 contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Ohatchee crushed Donoho (Anniston, AL), 42-6, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions battle the Talladega Tigers (Talladega, AL) in a 4A Region 3 contest, on Friday, October 3. Munford will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 31-14 league loss to Saint James (Montgomery, AL).
