Virginia High School Football - Smithfield can't hold off New Kent

New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA), 28-27 in a league battle.

With the win, New Kent advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Trojans host York (Yorktown, VA) to play the Falcons in a Bay Rivers battle on Friday, October 3. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 2-2. York lost 35-0 in their recent league match against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA)

Coming up next, the Packers confront the Tabb Tigers (Yorktown, VA) in a Bay Rivers match, on Friday, October 3. Smithfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 49-6 league win over Grafton (Yorktown, VA).
