The crowd at Friday's league bout between the New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) and the host South Bend Riley Wildcats (South Bend, IN), saw New Prairie's football team nip South Bend Riley by a final score of 45-42.

With the win, New Prairie advances its record to 1-5 on the season. The Cougars host Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN) to encounter the Knights in a Northern Indiana contest on Friday, October 3. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 2-4. Mishawaka Marian lost 28-21 in their recent league contest against South Bend Washington (South Bend, IN)

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies (South Bend, IN) in a Northern Indiana contest, on Friday, October 3. South Bend Riley will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Huskies enter the contest with a 6-0 record after their 21-14 league win over Elkhart (Elkhart, IN).
