Texas High School Football - Roma trounces Pace

September 26, 2025: Brownsville, TX 78520

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Roma Gladiators football squad scored a decisive 61-21 triumph over the Pace Vikings.

The Gladiators (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Port Isabel (Port Isabel, TX). The Tarpons go into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Port Isabel was ripped by Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX), 28-7, in a non-league battle.

The Vikings now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Porter for a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 battle on Friday, October 10. Pace will play a Cowboys team coming off a 35-7 non-league loss to Pioneer (Mission, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-4.
