Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), 43-41 in a league battle.
With the win, Palmview advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Lobos host Mission (Mission, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 battle on Friday, October 10. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Mission lost 43-14 in their recent league battle against McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX)
The Rattlers now have a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rowe for a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 match on Thursday, October 9. Rio Grande City will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 49-3 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 3-2.
