The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs overwhelmed the host South Tama County Trojans football squad by a margin of 41-7 in Friday's league test.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Albia for a 2A Group 7 test on Friday, October 3. Prairie City-Monroe will meet a Blue Demons squad coming off a 50-8 league win over Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, South Tama County drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Centerville (Centerville, IA) to meet the Big Reds/Redettes in a 2A Group 7 challenge on Friday, October 3. The Big Reds/Redettes enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Centerville won 39-24 in their recent league challenge against Pella Christian (Pella, IA)
