The Red Mesa Redskins held off the host San Carlos Braves football squad by a margin of 1-0 in Friday's non-league test.
The Redskins now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pinon for a 2A North 1 test on Friday, October 3. Red Mesa will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 60-6 league loss to Holbrook (Holbrook, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.
The Braves (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons go into the 2A Independent challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Coronado was edged by NFL Yet Academy (Phoenix, AZ), 55-54, in a non-league challenge.
