North Carolina High School Football - Smoky Mountain toppled by Tuscola

The Smoky Mountain Mustangs football team (Sylva, NC), dropped 20-0 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC)

With the win, Tuscola advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Franklin (Franklin, NC) to battle the Panthers in a Mountain Eight 4A/5A contest on Friday, October 3. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 4-2. Franklin won 37-26 in their recent league contest against Pisgah (Canton, NC)

Coming up next, the Mustangs battle the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a Mountain Eight 4A/5A contest, on Friday, October 3. Smoky Mountain will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a 5-0 record after their 52-18 league win over North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
