The Wayne County War Eagles football team (Waynesboro, MS), was tipped 49-48 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS)

With the win, West Jones advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Petal (Petal, MS) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, October 3. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 3-2. Petal won 20-3 in their recent non-league match against Clinton (Clinton, MS)
