The Monmouth Academy Mustangs edged the visiting Traip Rangers soccer team by a tally of 4-3 in Friday's non-league game.
Next, the Mustangs face the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 2. Monmouth Academy will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Black Bears go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 5-1 league win over Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME).
With the loss, Traip moves to 5-1 on the season. The Rangers travel to Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME) to encounter the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 30. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 1-3.
