In Friday's non-league outing, the host Schalmont Sabres soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Oneonta Yellowjackets.
The Sabres (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Glens Falls (Glens Falls, NY). The Black Bears come into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Glens Falls nipped Gloversville (Gloversville, NY), 13-1, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tamarac for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Oneonta will clash with a Bengals team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Hoosick Falls (Hoosick Falls, NY). The Bengals record now stands at 2-6.
