Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Shorewood Greyhounds (Shorewood, WI) and the visiting St. Thomas More Cavaliers (Milwaukee, WI), saw Shorewood's soccer squad hold off St. Thomas More by a count of 2-1.

The Greyhounds (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Whitnall (Greenfield, WI). The Falcons come into the Woodland East match with a 7-3 record. In their last match, Whitnall nipped Brown Deer (Brown Deer, WI), 9-0, in a league match.

The Cavaliers now sport a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to The Prairie School for a Metro Classic match on Wednesday, October 1.
