The Knights come into the battle with a 4-22 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Lincoln North Star (Lincoln, NE).

With the loss, Gering moves to 18-10 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Polk County (Stromsburg, NE) to meet the Slammers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 27. The Slammers go into the challenge with a record of 4-16. Polk County lost 10-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Blue River (David City, NE)
