The Latin Romans volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Beacon Academy Trailblazers to 0 in the Romans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Romans now have a 18-9 record. They play next when they travel to St. Laurence for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 30. Latin will play a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 16-7.

With the loss, Beacon Academy drops to 6-6 on the campaign. The Trailblazers host Christian Heritage Academy (Northfield, IL) to confront the Lions in a Lake Shore Athletic game on Wednesday, October 1. The Lions go into the game with a record of 19-3. Christian Heritage Academy won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Woodlands Academy (Lake Forest, IL)
