In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Southmoore SaberCats.
The Fighting Irish (21-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Edmond Santa Fe (Edmond, OK). The Wolves come into the non-league challenge with a 14-11 record. In their last test, Edmond Santa Fe gained a win over Moore (Moore, OK), 3-0, in a league test.
The SaberCats now sport a 6-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norman North for a Central Oklahoma test on Monday, September 29. Southmoore will face a Timberwolves squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Yukon (Yukon, OK). The Timberwolves record now stands at 4-16.
