South Carolina High School Volleyball - Lucy Beckham over Porter-Gaud

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Lucy Beckham Bengals (Mt. Pleasant, SC) and the visiting Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC), observed Lucy Beckham's volleyball team top Porter-Gaud by a count of 2-0.

The Bengals (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against West Ashley (Charleston, SC). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, West Ashley notched a victory over Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cyclones battle the Academic Magnet Raptors (North Charleston, SC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 27. Porter-Gaud will attempt to move on its 11-11 season record. The Raptors enter the contest with a 10-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Andrews (Andrews, SC).
