Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Midd-West Mustangs (Middleburg, PA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans face the Lewisburg Green Dragons (Lewisburg, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 1. Hughesville will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Green Dragons enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA).

The Mustangs now have a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Loyalsock Township for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 29. Midd-West will face a Lancers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Milton (Milton, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 3-8.
