The Nelson County Governors held off the visiting Gretna Hawks volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Governors now have a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to William Campbell for a non-league test on Thursday, September 29. Nelson County will confront a Generals team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Generals record now stands at 0-5.
The Hawks (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Raiders enter the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Appomattox County held off Nelson County (Lovingston, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
