De Smet Jesuit Spartans (St. Louis, MO) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Lindbergh Flyers (St. Louis, MO), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Vianney Golden Griffins (Kirkwood, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 29. De Smet Jesuit will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Golden Griffins enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Lafayette (Wildwood, MO).
The Flyers now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Rockwood Summit for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 29. Lindbergh will confront a Falcons team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO). The Falcons record now stands at 8-4.
