In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Newberry Bulldogs football squad scored a close 8-6 victory over the Saluda Tigers.
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Eau Claire Shamrocks (Columbia, SC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 28. Newberry will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
The Tigers (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC). The Rebels enter the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Strom Thurmond held off Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC), 15-14, in a non-league bout.
