In Friday's league match, the visiting Highland Hornets football squad scored a decisive 49-7 triumph over the Barberton Magics.

The Hornets (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Roosevelt (Kent, OH). The Rough Riders come into the Suburban - American match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Roosevelt was routed by Copley (Copley, OH), 34-20, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Magics confront the Revere Minutemen (Richfield, OH) in a Suburban - American match, on Friday, October 4. Barberton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
