The Colo-NESCO Royals edged the host Baxter football team by a score of 50-48 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Royals face the English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 4. Colo-NESCO will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 60-18 league loss to Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA).

The (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Collins-Maxwell (Maxwell, IA). The enter the 8-Man District 9 (8 Man) challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Collins-Maxwell held off Glidden-Ralston (Glidden, IA), 46-42, in a league challenge.
