Mississippi High School Football - Bayou Academy thwarted by Magnolia Heights

Magnolia Heights Chiefs (Senatobia, MS) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Bayou Academy Colts (Cleveland, MS), 28-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Magnolia Heights advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Chiefs travel to St. Joseph (Greenville, MS) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. The Fighting Irish go into the battle with a record of 4-1. St. Joseph won 30-16 in their recent non-league battle against St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS)

The Colts now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Central Hinds Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. Bayou Academy will play a Cougars team coming off a 21-13 league win over St. Aloysius (Vicksburg, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
