The Cross Trojans walloped the host Branchville Yellow Jackets football team by a score of 56-7 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Trojans face the St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC) in a A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, October 4. Cross will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Islanders go into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 58-6 league loss to Scott's Branch (Summerton, SC).
The Yellow Jackets (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bethune-Bowman (Orangeburg, SC). The Mohawks go into the A Region 5 challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Bethune-Bowman was ripped by Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC), 28-22, in a league challenge.
