Kansas High School Football - Nemaha Central holds off Chanute

The Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS) football tipped the host Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS), 13-7 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Thunder now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Oskaloosa for a Freelance outing on Friday, October 4. Nemaha Central will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 60-0 league loss to Atchison County (Effingham, KS). The Bears record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, Chanute drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Blue comets travel to Independence (Independence, KS) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Southeast Kansas outing on Friday, October 4. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 0-4. Independence lost 42-0 in their recent league outing against Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS)
