In their next game, the Tigers face the Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL) in a 3A Region 6 challenge, on Friday, October 4. Pennington will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 44-0 non-league win over Central of Coosa County (Rockford, AL).

The Panthers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL). The Conquerors enter the 2A Region 6 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Coosa Christian ran past Fyffe (Fyffe, AL), 29-2, in a non-league challenge.
