Illinois High School Football - Peotone knocked off by Coal City

In Friday's league game, the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) football team overcame the host Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL), by a tally of 27-13.

In their next game, the Coalers battle the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight game, on Friday, October 4. Coal City will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Comets enter the game with a 0-5 record after their 41-7 league loss to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL).
