The South Anchorage Wolverines edged the host Colony Knights football team by a score of 28-21 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolverines face the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) in a Cook Inlet challenge, on Saturday, October 5. South Anchorage will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 35-12 league loss to Dimond (Anchorage, AK).

The Knights (0-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK). The Crimson Bears enter the Cook Inlet challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Juneau-Douglas was edged by Bartlett (Anchorage, AK), 34-20, in a league challenge.
