The Columbus Wildcats walloped the visiting Highland Huskies football team by a score of 48-14 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons (Letts, IA) in a A District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 4. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 45-20 league loss to Van Buren County (Keosauqua, IA).

The Huskies (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Pekin (Packwood, IA). The Panthers enter the A District 5 challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Pekin was ripped by Lisbon (Lisbon, IA), 21-8, in a league challenge.
