In Friday's league game, the Crestwood Comets (Mountain Top, PA) football team edged the host Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA), by a tally of 21-14.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 1 game, on Friday, October 4. Crestwood will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 4-2 record after their 26-0 league win over Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA).
