The De Kalb Bears walloped the visiting Hughes Springs Mustangs football team by a score of 60-27 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears face the Daingerfield Tigers (Daingerfield, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 4. De Kalb will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 63-12 league win over Redwater (Redwater, TX).

The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Queen City (Queen City, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A-2 Region III District 10 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Queen City was ripped by Hooks (Hooks, TX), 14-13, in a league challenge.
