Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host De Leon Bearcats (De Leon, TX), 50-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Muenster improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Hornets travel to Lindsay (Lindsay, TX) to play the Knights in a 2A-2 Region II District 8 battle on Friday, October 11. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 4-1. Lindsay won 68-25 in their recent non-league battle against Dublin (Dublin, TX)

The Bearcats now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hico for a 2A-1 Region II District 5 battle on Friday, October 11. De Leon will play a Tigers team coming off a 28-14 non-league loss to Florence (Florence, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-1.
