The Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL) football tipped the visiting Etowah Blue Devils (Attalla, AL), 41-34 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Panthers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mae Jemison for a 6A Region 8 outing on Friday, October 4. Southside will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 31-7 non-league loss to Sparkman (Harvest, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-4.
With the defeat, Etowah drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Oneonta (Oneonta, AL) to clash with the Redskins in a 4A Region 6 outing on Friday, October 4. The Redskins come into the outing with a record of 1-4. Oneonta won 25-6 in their recent non-league outing against Susan Moore (Blountsville, AL)
