New York High School Football - Grand Island edged by Sweet Home

The Sweet Home Panthers edged the host Grand Island Vikings football team by a score of 33-27 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY) in a Section 6 A - 2 challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Sweet Home will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Flames enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 32-20 league win over North Tonawanda (North Tonawanda, NY).

The Vikings (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Amherst Central (Amherst, NY). The Tigers enter the Section 6 B - 1 challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Amherst Central was edged by Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY), 30-29, in a league challenge.
