The Haddam-Killingworth Cougars bounced the visiting Weaver Beavers football squad by a count of 56-6 in Friday's league contest.
The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Branford (North Branford, CT). The Thunderbirds enter the Pequot - Sassacus contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, North Branford crushed Morgan (Clinton, CT), 34-31, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Beavers confront the Coginchaug Regional/East Hampton/Hale Ray Blue Devils (Durham, CT) in a Pequot - Sassacus contest, on Friday, October 4. Weaver will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 41-31 league win over Valley Regional/Old Lyme (Deep River, CT).
