Texas High School Football - Union Grove sneaks past Hawkins

In Friday's league match, the visiting Union Grove Lions football squad scored a close 21-20 triumph over the Hawkins Hawks.

The Lions (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 2A-1 Region III District 10 match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Elysian Fields was nudged by Beckville (Beckville, TX), 60-28, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Hawks meet the Ore City Rebels (Ore City, TX) in a 2A-1 Region III District 10 match, on Friday, October 4. Hawkins will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Rebels come into the match with a 0-5 record after their 69-21 league loss to Waskom (Waskom, TX).
