In Friday's league match, the host Washington Patriots football squad scored a decisive 42-7 victory over the Hedgesville Eagles.

The Patriots (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV). The Cardinals enter the Eastern Panhandle match with a 5-0 record. In their last match, Spring Mills routed North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD), 64-0, in a non-league match.
