Alabama High School Football - Holt trounces Pickens Academy

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Holt Ironmen football squad scored a decisive 49-0 triumph over the Pickens Academy Pirates.
The Ironmen (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Fairfield (Fairfield, AL). The Tigers come into the 4A Region 4 match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Fairfield routed Selma (Selma, AL), 31-16, in a non-league bout.
The Pirates now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Holy Spirit Catholic for a 1A Region 3 bout on Friday, October 4. Pickens Academy will encounter a Saints team coming off a 56-20 non-league loss to Hubbertville (Fayette, AL). The Saints record now stands at 2-4.
