Texas High School Football - Jefferson tops Lanier

September 27, 2024: San Antonio, TX 78207

The Jefferson Mustangs football squad scored 22 points and limited the host Lanier Voks to 14 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now hold a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burbank for a 5A-2 Region III District 12 test on Friday, October 4. Jefferson will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 21-19 non-league loss to Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, Lanier drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Voks host Highlands (San Antonio, TX) to meet the Owls in a 5A-2 Region III District 12 test on Saturday, October 5. The Owls come into the test with a record of 0-5. Highlands lost 27-14 in their recent league test against Edison (San Antonio, TX)
