Texas High School Football - Kilgore tops Pine Tree

The Kilgore Bulldogs football squad scored 17 points and limited the host Pine Tree Pirates to 6 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Henderson for a 4A-1 Region III District 9 test on Friday, October 4. Kilgore will meet a Lions squad coming off a 62-38 league win over Palestine (Palestine, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Pine Tree drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Mabank (Mabank, TX) to meet the Panthers in a 4A-1 Region III District 9 test on Friday, October 4. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Mabank lost 21-0 in their recent non-league test against Canton (Canton, TX)
